-တရားရႈမွတ္လုိ႔ရတဲ့ လက္င္းအက်ဴိးကေတာ့ ငါးမိနစ္ ရႈမွတ္နုိင္ရင္ ငါးမိနစ္

ေလာဘာ ေဒါသ ကိေလသာေတြ ကင္းေနပါတယ္။


ဆယ္မိနစ္ ရႈမွတ္နုိင္ရင္ ဆယ္မိနစ္ အကုသိုလ္ေတြ ကင္းေနပါတယ္။


-Meditating for five minutes gives us a five-minute respite


from greed (lobha), anger (dosa)etc-the defilements of the soul.


If we can make it a ten-minute task, we are free from


demerits (akusala)for ten minutes.


-အႏွစ္ကို အကာ၊ အကာကို အႏွစ္ဟု ထင္ျမင္ယူဆလွ်င္ အႏွစ္ရွိေသာ တရားကို မရနုိင္ဘူး။

-If you tend to confuse the yolk and the white, the essence and the


trivialities, you willn never be able to savour the essence


of the Buddha's teachings.


-အႏွစ္ကို အႏွစ္ အကာကို အကာဟုသိမွ အႏွစ္ရွိေသာ တရားကို ရနုိင္မယ္။

-Only if you can distinguish between the essence and


the trivialities, you will be able to grasp the essence of the
Dhamma.

-သတိပ႒ာန္တရား အားမထုတ္လွ်င္ ဘုရားပြင့္တာ ကိုယ့္အတြက္ ပြင့္တာ မဟုတ္ဘူး။


-If one does not practise Satipatthana (four doctrines of mindful meditation),

one does not reap the fruits of the Buddha sasana (Era of dispensation of


Buddha's teachings).


-တရားအားထုတ္လို႔ ရုပ္တရား နာမ္တရား

အေၾကာင္းအက်ဴိး အနိစၥ ၊ ဒုကၡ ၊ အနတၱ သေဘာမွန္ေတြကို သိလို႔


၀ိပႆနာဥာဏ္ေတြ ျဖစ္မယ္ဆိုရင္ ဘုရားပြင့္တာလည္း


ကိုယ့္အတြက္ ပြင့္ရာေရာက္တယ္ ။ လူျဖစ္ရက်ဴိးလည္းနပ္တယ္။


-Only if one practises vipassana and attain vipassana knowledge and


wisdom through real understanding of the ultimate truths (matter and mind,


cause and effect. impermanence suffering and egoless ness), one reaps


the fruits of Buddha sasana . One also is worthy of being called a human being.


-သူမ်ားၾကည္ညိဳေအာင္က လြယ္ပါတယ္။ ကိုယ့္ကိုယ္ကို ၾကည္ညိဳေအာင္ လုပ္ဖို႔ခက္တယ္။

-It is more difficult to cultivate selfrespect than to make others respect you.

-ကိုယ့္ရဲ႕အျပစ္ ေဖၚျပဆံုးမေသာ ပညာရွိကို ေရႊအိုးျမဳပ္ထား လာေျပာၾကားသကဲ့သို႔

ေက်းဇူတင္ရမယ္။


-A wise person who exposes your weaknesses or mistakes to make you a


betteer person deserves as much gratitude as someone who tellw you about


a buied treasure chest.


-၀ိပႆနာပညာ မျပည့္စံုေသးဘူးဆိုရင္ လူျဖစ္ရႈံးတယ္။မဂ္ဖိုလ္ နိဗၺာန္ဆိုတာ မေမွ်ာ္နဲ႕မရနိုင္ဘူး။

-You do not deserve to be a human being if you do not avail yourself of the

vipassana insight. Attainment of the truly peaceful state, Nibbana - the


cessation of samsara-is totally out of the question for such a person.


-အခါးမ်ဴိးေစ့ စိုက္ပ်ဴိးေတာ့ အခါးသီး သီးလာသလို“အကုသိုလ္” လုပ္ေတာ့

မေကာင္းက်ဴိး ခံစားရတယ္။


-Unwholesome deeds will result in demerits (akusala) just as seeds of


a bitter kind of plant will give off bitter fruits.


-အခ်ဴိမ်ဴိးေစ့ စိုက္ပ်ဴိးေတာ့ အခ်ဴိသီး သီးသလုိ “ကုသိုလ္”လုပ္ေတာ့ ေကာင္းက်ဴိး ခံစားရတယ္။

-Kusala (merits) are the results of wholesome deeds just


as delicious fruits are borne from the right kind of seeds.


-သာသနာအတြက္ အက်ဴးိမ်ား မမ်ား စဥ္းစားၿပီးမွ လွဴပါ။


-When giving alms and donations, deliberate first whether your


good deed will be of real benefit for the sasna.


-ပန္းေတြ မ်ားေနေပမယ့္ ပန္တဲ့ လွဴတဲ့ ပန္းကမွ ကိုယ့္အတြက္ အက်ဴိးရွိတာ


က်န္တဲ့ပန္းေတြက စြန္႔ပစ္ထားခဲ့ရမွာ။


-Of the myriads of flowers,only those selected for your own use


(to adorn you hair) or to serve as sacred offerings are of benefit.


The rest are discarded and of no use at all.


-ပစၥည္းေတြ မ်ားေနေပမယ့္ သုံးတဲ့ လွဴတဲ့ ပစၥည္းကမွကိုယ့္အတြက္

အက်ဴိးွရွိတာ က်န္တဲ့ ပစၥည္းေတြက စြန္႔ပစ္ထားခဲ့ရမွာ။


-Of the many and varied things you posess, only those you use or give


away as alms or offerings are of benefit to you. The rest are to be


considered as ofno real value.


-အသက္-70-မွာ ေသရမယ္ ဆိုၾကပါစို႔။ ကုိယ့္အတြက္ သာသနာ

ကြယ္ေတာ့မွာ နည္းနည္းလိုေတာ့တယ္။


-If the life-span is agreed uponas '70' years, then, you have only a little time


left before you face the bleak prospect of living outside the circle of shining


light of the sasana.


-စႀကၤန္ေလွ်ာက္လွ်င္ ခရီးေ၀းသြားနုိင္ျခင္း၊ ႏွစ္သက္ရာ ဣရိယာပုတ္ျဖင့္


ၾကာရွည္စြာ တရားမွတ္နိုင္ျခင္း။ အနာေရာဂါ ကင္းျခင္း။ အစာေၾကျခင္း။


သမာဓိ ၾကာရွ ည္စြာတည္ျခင္း။ အက်ဴိးရွိတယ္။


-The benefits of enjoying walking mode ability to go long distance, ability to


practise mindful meditation at length using this posture; enjoyment of better


health; better digestion; better concentration power.


-၀ိပႆနာ တရားအားထုတ္တဲ့အခါ သဒၶါႏွင့္ပညာ ၊ ၀ီရိယႏွင့္သမာဓိ


ေစာင္းႀကိဳးညိွသလို အညီအမွ် ထားနုိင္မွ တရားရမယ္။


-When doing mindful meditation work, it is crucial to be able to balance faith


(saddha) with wisdom (panna), perseverance (viriya), with concentration power

(samadhi).


-ဘုရားသာ မပြင့္လွ်င္ တရားသိဖို႔ ေ၀းေရာ့၊ ရုပ္နာမ္စသည့္ အမည္မွ်ေတာင္ မသိနိင္ဘူး။


-Without the enlightenment and insight that Lord Buddha gave to the world, it


is not possible for human beings even to distinguish between mind and matteer,


let alone appreciate spiritual truth.
